Client wanted to launch a comprehensive resource and community website for women, covering a wide demographic range and topics. Client already had a fairly popular e-newsletter as a starting point. Having lined up numerous subject matter experts, writers, videographers, and radio personalities, client envisioned the site becoming large, quickly. Additionally, client needed several membership levels and a separate event registration component.
Propel designed and built a full community portal. Sections for articles, podcasts, and videos combined with a rich member interaction component and commenting structure help create an engaged, active community of visitors, contributors, and members.
Launched in July 2012, the site had approximately 150 paying members within the first month. Analytics data shows extremely high rate of user engagement and return visitors. Client has been able to secure sponsorships, hold networking events and conference calls, and create a foothold in the marketplace.
